About The Position
This hire is for the head coaching position for the under 15 (U15) San Jose Earthquakes Academy. This person will report to the Academy Directors.

Key Tasks
Assist Academy Directors to organize player selection process.
Collaborate with the Directors to follow and modify a clear curriculum and training plan for player development.
Implementation of player development plan including IDP’s (individual development plans).
Attend all games and trainings related to the U15 team and assistant for U14 games.
Prepare and conduct team training sessions as appropriate. SJE Academy expects that each team will train four times per week during the season. Additional trainings and exhibitions may be completed at the direction of the club.
Attend all MLS Next league, event, and showcase games. Could also include international trip.
Adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined by MLS Next.
Attend all workshops and seminars as expected by MLS Next.
Provide feedback and reporting to club when requested.
Manage players with support of operations during travel to all destinations.
Provide detailed receipts and records for all reimbursements and expenses
Be responsible for continuing education in soccer, curriculum, and overall player development for the youth player.
Provide ongoing support and placement to all players for college recruitment/professional player identification and consideration
Continue ongoing recruiting of the best possible players throughout the season to ensure successful player development in future years.
Be available to participate in SJE clinic, tryout, coaching education, or appearance as deemed necessary for the promotion of the SJEQ organization.
Coordinate with specialist departments to enhance development of the players
Be available for weekly in-person meetings with staff.
Preferred Requirements
A license
15+ years of high-level coaching experience (academy level or above preferred)
Understanding of MLS rules and regulations (preferred)
Knowledge of latest technologies on player data (preferred)
Knowledge and ability to breakdown/edit/share video to aid development of players
College undergrad degree
Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
Excellent organizational skills
Salary: $90,000-$95,000 annually
