About this role:
Contribute to long-term player development at the Academy.
To work with Football Coaches, Performance, Medical and other support staff to deliver a holistic approach to improving each player.
Responsibilities:
Full time management of the U18s squad.
Work closely with coaches to design appropriately challenging football sessions that meet the team's and individual's demands.
Deliver the athletic development program through gym & pitch-based sessions.
Deliver & co-manage physical testing protocols.
Manage player work load (training and game), player wellness & return to play data.
Work well within a multidisciplinary team to provide a holistic development pathway for all players.
Complete daily sports science & medical reports
Take part and contribute to external and internal CPD, with the aim of evolving the current program.
Lead match day protocols.
Other duties and responsibilities as required by line manager.
Upholding and promoting the Club’s policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities policies and procedures.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
Educated to MRes/MSc level or equivalent.
Professional accreditation through BASES, ASCC or CSCS (or ability to achieve in 6 months)
Three or more years’ experience of working within a professional sport setting.
Has played/coached in football.
Experience in delivery at both an andragogy and pedagogy level.
Experience of working with GPS systems (Statsport preferable).
Passionate about the development of the youth athlete.
Ability to build strong relationships with players and staff.
Advanced computer literacy skills.
