ROLE DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Senior Head Coach
Reports To: First Team Manager/Directors/Committee.
Hours: It is anticipated that you will work each of the training sessions per week. Currently these are Tuesday and Thursday evenings, located at Sirius Academy West, Hull. Ideally to include each match day, connecting with players and staff during the week around video analysis, session and match day planning, target setting, logistics etc.
You will be required to work outside of normal office hours, at evenings and weekends.
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and high quality Head Coach to join Hull City Ladies, as a part of the senior coaching team.
Role Purpose:
To lead the planning, preparation and coaching of the Hull City Ladies playing squad in line with key principles and How We Roar
To develop Hull City Ladies FC footballers as individuals, and as a team, in line with club strategy, vision and How We Roar along side Individual Player Development needs
Work with all Senior Team MDT and work as part of an effective leadership team
To support with all on- and off-pitch football activities for Hull City Ladies First Team with the aim of recruiting and building a competitive squad at and beyond the FAWNL
To lead on individual player development and create IDP’s, maximizing player development
To lead training sessions, providing motivation and advice during gameplay, to support with developing game plans
Responsible for planning and delivering the technical and tactical coaching programme in line with the clubs game model and principles
A role model for code of conduct behaviours in the game and highly supportive of standards for equality, diversity, and inclusion in line with FA guidelines
Key Accountabilities:
Specific Duties
To provide and deliver the highest quality coaching
Work as part of a coaching and management team
Provide positive feedback and post-game analysis to players
Developing, defining and monitoring the Club’s football philosophy
Assisting in the identification and recruitment of players into women’s team
Match preparation and evaluation to be conducted and recorded for all fixtures
Work with youth / reserve teams coaches and players to establish and support a strong player pathway
To attend all training sessions, providing high quality coaching
To attend all scheduled games
Great communication with players, staff, and club committee representatives
Provide feedback and review development of players in line with personal development plans of individual players
To liaise with the Manager and Reserve Team Manager to help plan, prepare and deliver detailed individual plans and sessions
Regular meetings between management staff will take place to evaluate, plan and feedback progress and any issues that arise
To follow all Hull City Ladies policies and procedures
Self development, attending up to date training related to coaching and working in women’s football
Determining individual player abilities, strengths, and weaknesses, and factoring these into the gameplay and sessions
Ensuring all equipment is available and looked after
To liaise with other members of the team well, for example, Sports Rehab, S&C and analysts
Essential Skills:
Knowledge
Knowledge and strategic understanding of women’s football clubs in the FA Women’s National League
Passion for women’s football and sport
Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding
Experience
Experience of operating in positions of leadership
Established networks
Experience of coaching a first team
Experience of delivering high level coaching at Tier 3 or above
Technical Skills
Leadership skills
Strategic management
Hold a UEFA B license, preferably UEFA A license
First Aid Trained
FA first aid in football
FA safeguarding children certificate
General Responsibilities:
Be an ambassador of Hull City Ladies FC giving excellent customer service at all times, portraying a professional image throughout the interaction.
Treat all colleagues as customers ensuring respectful positive outcomes across all communications.
Perform other duties as required, which are considered relevant to the post and to the objectives of HCLFC.
