The position will involve working irregular hours (e.g. evenings / Saturdays / Sundays / Bank Holidays).
JOB PURPOSE
To deliver the Academy Coaching Curriculum within the Youth Development Phase.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Devise and deliver sessions to the U15’s in the Youth Development Phase within the Academy Curriculum/Syllabus
Responsible for match day preparation and performance of the U15’s
Participate in the selection of squads and travel on foreign tours as required, providing pastoral care that adheres to Academy guidelines/policies
Support with delivery of Individual Learning Plans for players in the U15’s as per Premier League rules (Every six weeks)
Support mid-season and end of season Player/Parent meetings with U15 Head coach
Establish relationships with players and parents of allocated age group in line with Academy Policies, and manage age group specific communication via Club issued devices
Work closely with Academy Medical, Sports Science, Analysis, Education, Player Care/Safeguarding, Operations and Kit staff regarding the players’ holistic programme and needs
Liaise with Academy Recruitment team regarding potential trialist/signings
Embody the Academy Philosophy and apply to all aspects of interactions with Academy Stakeholders (players, parents & colleagues)
Maintain mandatory CPD record, including Club issue DBS check (every three years), UEFA Licence (15 hours of the appropriate level CPD every three years), FA Advanced Youth Award, FA Safeguarding Children Workshop (every three years), relevant FA Emergency First Aid qualification as per Premier League rules (currently EFAiF – every three years)
Liaise with U15 Head coach to ensure all Kitman data entry (both for training sessions and matches) is accurate and up-to-date to support the players development journey
Be available to support other YDP age group session when appropriate
To support our Elite Development Centre programme as well as area best events when required
Identify opportunities to work with U15 players individually using a multi-disciplinary approach
Support the U15 Head coach with player audit meetings using a multi-disciplinary approach to provide a staff update on mid-season and end of season progress.
Liaise with the Head of Coach Development to support individual needs around self-development
